"Morning at Sun Bay" (Vieques, PR)

Back in the Caribbean after an 8 month absence, not much has changed. A few heavy rains washed away some favorite palms, but left this sea grape tree, with its gnarly roots, anchored in the sand.

It's been a challenge switching from snow-appreciation in Michigan to dealing with no-see-ums if I linger to catch the afternoon light at the beach. It's a tough life, but someone's got to do it, right?
